Senior Pastor - Rev. Bud Freed

Pastor Bud has been in fulltime ministry since 1980. He and Jane came to FMC in 2005
after 25 years of ministry in The Wesleyan Church. They have a passion for bringing
people to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith.

Pastor Bud and Jane have been married since 1979 and have raised 3 sons who are now
adults and walking with Jesus.

Pastor Bud believes that the Christian life must first be lived out at home. Therefore,
his passion is helping build strong families and marriages. His experience of over 30
years of marriage and raising 3 sons has given him an understanding of the challenges
facing families today. He believes the hope and future of America is found in The Church
partnering with families to bring up a new generation of believers firmly established in
God’s Word.

Rev. Carlton 'Bud' Freed is now on staff as our Senior Pastor. Their eldest son is married and a pastor in Wisconsin. Their fraternal twins James and Joseph are currently away at college. Leaving them to share their home with their rescued dog Gracie (Jane say she's their adopted daughter).

Pastor Matt Mendenhall grew up in Wyandotte and attended New Faith Chapel, a Missionary Church in Romulus.  During his senior year of high school he felt called by the Lord to enter the ministry full time.

That summer he married Stephanie, his high school sweetheart and fellow Bethel College grad (A.A. in Early Childhood Ed.).  Stephanie teaches at Oakland Christian School in Clarkston.  Their son, Brody, was born in 2009, and their daughter, Ally, was born in 2011.
